The woman I desire to be…a Proverbs 31 woman

 Proverbs 31: 25-26

“She is clothed with strength and dignity; she can laugh at the days to come. She speaks with wisdom, and faithful instruction is on her tongue.”

I remember sitting down one day and wondering where my life was going. I felt like my life was at a stand-still, I felt like I was not utilizing my skills and knowledge on a daily basis, and I was unsure of where to go next. I then came across this scripture and remembered that I have nothing to worry about. I can live my life worry free of what the future holds for me because I am a Proverbs 31 woman. God has clothed me with strength and dignity, he has provided me favor with my superiors, and he has provided me with wisdom, knowledge, and understanding. When we speak, we need to speak with wisdom and kindness.  There comes a time when we are spoken to poorly. Whether it comes from a customer or patient at work, or comes from a friend or family member. Remember to stay kind, it’s easy to fight back with words, but it takes wisdom to hold back and remain kind to the person that has wronged you. I will admit, I have fallen short of this advice several times.

Many times, people look to famous actors or musicians and desire to be like them. They are imperfect, so why do we desire this? This scripture illustrates what we should desire to be, and that is a Proverbs 31 woman. God has shared this scripture with me today to share with others.  Some may have heard it before, some may be hearing it for the first time. For whatever reason it may be, God put it in my heart to share. I pray that it speaks to you. God bless.

A Touch of Black with a Hint of Color

My weekends mostly consist of catching up on errands, spending time with my husband, and going on long walks with Koda (my puppy). This morning the weather was perfect so Koda and I decided to go for a long walk. Today’s outfit called for a pairing of black on black with a hint of color. This Black Sweater is so comfortable and warm and it goes perfectly with different styles of pants. I paired this sweater with these amazing Twill Leggings (on sale right now). I fell in love with these leggings the minute I wore them. They are very comfortable and can be dressed up and dressed down. To finish off the outfit I decided to add a hint of color. These Leopard Flats (on sale right now) complete the outfit to give it a comfortable and feminine style.

The Sun is Out..

Today was one of the first days the sun has graced us with it’s presence. I decided to go for a walk to enjoy this gorgeous day. During the winter season you need to have a coat that is versitile. This coat goes with every type of outfit, it is my go-to coat. I found a Grey Coat that is similar to this one, this one is no longer available. I paired it with a cotton multi-colored scarf that contains grey accents. You can never go wrong with a camel color Michael Kors handbag (similar one). This handbag goes with every type of outfit. I paired the outfit with camel color flats.

Day in the Office

Another day at the office. I believe in having decorations on your desk and in your office that will inspire you throughout the day.

This scripture came to me as I reflected on this past week and month. I just recently received a wonderful opportunity. God provided me with a new job as a Project Manager. When I received the news, I wanted to begin celebrating and telling myself good job. Then I paused and realized this was not my doing, this was God. He was the one I needed to praise and thank and give all the glory too. He provided me with the words to speak during the interviews, he brought peace to mind about this position, and he provided favor for me with my new directors. At times we feel stuck while we wait for the next opportunity to arrive. Remember this scripture when you don’t know what your next move is going to be. God always knows the perfect timing for you. Continue to trust in God, he knows your heart, your dreams and your desires.

MY HINT OF CHIC: DAILY BEAUTY PICKS

One of the most important beauty rituals to do on a daily basis is to properly take care of your face. There are many products to choose from and many times you do not know where to begin. Here are a few products I have been using lately and can highly contest to each one of them.

For ladies that wear make-up, it is important to find the right makeup remover wipes. I use Neutrogena’s Makeup Remover Wipes. These wipes remove makeup, dirt, oil, and waterproof mascara. They leave your face feeling soft and clean. For those with mild acne, it is important to use a facial cleanser that contains Benzoyl Peroxide. I have tried almost every facial cleanser on the counter and none had seemed to work. I finally went to see a Dermatologist and she recommend AcneFree Cleanser to me. I have been using it for 2 years and my complexion is the best it has ever been. If you have not tried using a cleansing brush, please run out and go buy one as soon as possible. I am a firm believer in the Clarisonic. It is an amazing tool, I can noticeably see the difference when I use it versus when I have not used it for a few days.

My favorite eye cream is Clinique Repair Wear Laser Focus. I have noticed results in just 4 months of wearing it! The last two products are two of the most important products you can own, Day and Night Moisturizers. At the moment my favorite Day moisturizer is Mary Kay’s Timewise Repair. The best advantage of this product is that it has SPF 30. I have used it for several months and I have seen the tone of my face even out. My favorite Night moisturizer is Neutrogena Rapid Wrinkle Repair. This night cream seals in the moisture and leaves a light clean feel with a fresh scent to sleep well at night.

My focus this year is to purchase a few select items that will enhance my every-day outfit. My daily wardrobe consists of business casual for work, for outside of work I stick with a feminine style consisting of solid and neutral colors. Lately, I have been favoring the black and gold combination. These select items will fine tune my everyday wardrobe and enhance even my simplest weekend outfits. At the moment I would classify my style to be simple with a hint of feminine. I carefully purchase items based on their quality, texture, and their flexibility to wear on a daily basis. I find my self browsing the sale racks to make sure I purchase with a smart mind and get my money’s worth.
